How Vista Works

Miranda applies source quality rules, geographic validation, actor significance checks, content relevance analysis, and — for items that pass all filters — AI-powered assessment against the original source article. Only items that pass Miranda's review are surfaced on Vista.
Data Accuracy & Limitations
Vista is a decision-support tool, not a system of record. Despite extensive filtering and validation, automated event coding from GDELT and other upstream sources can contain errors, misattributions, or miscodings. Miranda's AI assessments are generated by large language models and may contain inaccuracies. Source articles linked from Vista reflect the views and accuracy of their original publishers, not Vector Pacifico. All timestamps, scores, and metrics are provided for reference only. Users should independently verify any information before making decisions that rely on it.
